The chamber orchestra was refounded in 2016 when we renamed it to Novum Chamber Orchestra. Most of the members had already played together moreover, the members played in youth, amateur and professional orchestras in Kecskemét, Szeged, Budapest, Dunaújváros, Veszprém, Pécs and Fertőd.
Our main aim is to provide a high quality of classical music in parochial, scholastic, family, cultural and social events furthermore, the ensemble would like to enrich the music culture of Kecskemét.
One of the missions is to support young talents and promote children’s music education. We often play in schools to make classical music more popular among the students and familiarize them with different kind of music instruments.
The ensemble prefers to play baroque music but we also pay attention to the composers of the 20th century and nowadays.
Since we started to operate as Novum Chamber Orchestra we had more than 100 concerts.
The members of the ensemble, soloists, art director and concert master are volunteers. They do not get any payments for their work. The financial background is provided by the Association of Novum Chamber Orchestra.

The orchestra's management, the members of the orchestra, the soloists and other assistants of the ensemble are all volunteers, so everyone’s work is free of charge. At the same time we have much costs, to save the condition of our instruments, the new music sheets, bank and accountancy costs, travel and transportation costs.

The pandemic has aggravated the life of the orchestra and in this state of emergency, we are particularly asking for offerings.
